Introduction

Hi folks,

Here is where we will discuss the issues of the Victorian Essential Learning Standards. The web site to refer to is http://vels.vcaa.vic.edu.au/

You should read the ICT section first, particularly for levels 4,5 and 6. Here is an initial discussion point:
What are the significant differences between what VELS prescribes and what we are doing now? How much do you think we will have to alster what we do?

One thing we should consider is the establishment of a Portfolio for students to keep good examples of their work in. I would suggest getting a drive specifically for the purpose of archiving work worth keeping so that each student has enough space for all their secondary years. Some open sourse software which would be worth looking at is at http://cvs.theospi.org/

Admiring the time and effort you put into your blog and in depth information
you provide. It's awesome to come across a blog every once in a while that isn't the same unwanted rehashed information.
Great read! I've saved your site and I'm adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
